Ion, thank you-- I love it! Your words too. The facial expressions on your subjects are wonderful.
My pleasure...and yes, when I paint this it was still allowed. I'm not sure about right now. Anyway, Queberquers - women especially, I'm afraid - are great smokers...
I agree with Moonbeam, Danu. And not only the facial expressions are good. Why do women hold their cigarette like that (or why don't men?)? 100swallows
It's a long time now, G., that I do not ask myself (or try to answer) WHY do women do a thing or the other... Nor WHY do men, for that matter... I just take weverything the way it is and try to make a caricature out of it! (but not a mean one...) I'll post some quasi-mean for you - and my other numerous fans - to see...
I was born with another name...not worse than any other, only more difficult to pronounce... So, when, in April 2002, I've become a full time visual artist, I've chose to re-name myself as Ion Vincent Danu. Ion, that's my middle name, my father's name also... short, not bad (since GM "Saturn" chose it too...), Vincent is an homage to Vincent Van Gogh and DANU because, apart from being my nickname (some of my family used to call me that, it's a diminutive for "Dan") but also it's a kind of YANG-YIN thing, it means, in Romanian, YES-NO. And it sounds good, I think... Japanese painters
did rename themselves each time they thought they entered a new creative phase... not a bad thing to do.

They let people smoke indoors there?

How do we spell "sketch"?
(I was just wondering..)
Thanks, Cantueso! quickness of the hand... it's written as in I've written it in the post, not in the title...
