That's one of the things I did last summer - in fact, a few days ago...
As usual, a 9" x 12" acrylic & watercolor on Strathmore acid free paper (300 g) and, also as usual, if interested, give me an email... I promise not to skin you alive...

There is a sadness in her eyes, a sadness which you succeded in capturing...Nice.

Yes, I also remarked that. But for me it was especially the lines of the mouth which made her sad, a bit morose. Who can tell what suffering made her like that? Still, she was a challenge to paint, with all those "tresses" (hair blended?)
